First of all, most of the negative reviews of this product are probably coming from people who are using this for big snakes. This is for SMALL snakes, as it says on the package. It is NOT meant to lift big, heavy snakes. It is not the sturdiest thing in the world because it is collapsible.

I am a Wildlife photographer that lives in Central Arkansas & we are lucky enough to have an area with tons of Cottonmouths nearby. These grabbers have been great for picking them up & getting them to a spot with better light for pictures.

Just arrived today, a day earlier than promised. Well packaged, and I am totally convinced that this was the right purchase! It’s winter, so the snakes in our area aren’t out yet, but I’ve handled enough snakes and looked at enough snake catching tongs to know that this was definitely the right choice.
